EB WISH WEEK

4 July - 14 July

EB Games' Wish Week Is Back!

Each year every EB Games store across New Zealand fundraises for Make-A-Wish NZ for a week.

Visit your local EB Games store between 4 – 14 July and donate to help make more wishes come true for critically ill Kiwi kids.

There are 319 very sick Kiwi kids waiting for their wishes to come true. Every one of these children needs a wish to give them their childhood, lost to illness, back.

Gaming gives critically ill children a safe connection with their friends.

I wish for a Nintendo Switch

Luca (8) suffered leukaemia. He has endured many treatments, and falls sick very easily, so to protect his weakened immune system, he had to stay home from school, and couldn’t connect with other kids his age. His mum Ella says he’s missed out on a lot of childhood joy.

Luca’s one true wish was for a Nintendo Switch – so he could connect with friends through playing games together!

In February last year, Luca received a bone marrow transplant – his older brother Ryan was his donor. It was important to Luca’s family and our team that his wish came true in June to celebrate 100 days after his transplant.

Our team set up a special treasure hunt for Luca and Ryan around Kelly Tarlton’s too – the last treasure was Luca’s Nintendo Switch!
Ella says Luca’s wish day was extraordinary.

“Words can’t adequately express our gratitude. Luca’s wish has truly come true!”

I wish for a PS5 with drifting controller

Meet Tript, a passionate gamer with an unmatched love for PlayStation. He immerses himself in virtual worlds, navigating every in-game challenge with skill and determination.

The brave 7-year-old had leukaemia and endured long stays in hospital, undergoing chemo sessions away from home. His wish was to own a PS5 with a drifting controller, to play games with his friends.

Earlier this year Tript’s wish came true, his gaming setup is complete, and his home is filled with laughter, friendly competition and unforgettable moments!

Here’s to many more epic gaming sessions Tript!
